About The Artist

I am mostly interested in exploring subject matter concerning the Spiritual, Astological/ Astronomical, and Metaphysical. Mixed media collage paintings have been occupying my studio time as of late, but I go back and forth between 2 dimensional work and 3 dimensional constructions using found objects and mixed media. Organic shapes and colors intrigue me and influence my work greatly. A piece seldom starts with a set idea in mind-- I just start collecting interesting objects, begin to play and let my subconscious mind go where it will. The piece eventually tells me what to do next (most of the time).One of my favorite sayings is "Start a piece as a child and finish as an artist". In other words: don't control things too much at the beginning...
